On Saturday, August 26, Lucas County Commissioner candidate Ben Konop will Meet.The.Bloggers* at Downtown Latte in Toledo.
Konop is a Toledo native who worked in Washington, DC, after graduating from law school. In 2004, at the encouragement of Rep. Marcy Kaptur (D-9th), Konop unsuccessfully took on incumbent Mike Oxley in Ohio’s 4th CD. He did, however, take his campaign right to constituents by walking the district and bowling in every bowling alley in the district. This creative approach allowed him to outperform John Kerry by 7 points in the district.
