On Monday, July 10, the Plain Dealer will swing its doors open to NE Ohio bloggers at 2:30 pm. The editors will meet the bloggers ahead of their 4 pm content meeting, which bloggers can attend.
Bloggers, of course, won’t be able to affect the content of Tuesday’s PD, but you can share the process with your readers.
Parking is available in the 18th Street lot. Meet at the revolving doors in the PD building. The PD’s offices are located at 1801 Superior Avenue.

In retrospect, I did enjoy our trip to the PD; it was instructive. Now that I see the constraints under which these folks get out what they do get out, I am going to be far less critical of them in the future. My perspective now is that blogsites have more of a purpose than ever, and that is to complement other media, like the daily newspapers, to explicate the news and viewpoints, to expand upon them, and to comment on them.
